6. Implement the Two-Minute Rule
Yes, just two minutes. If it takes and I repeat, if it takes less than 2 minutes or even 2 minutes and 2 seconds – DO IT! Don’t let it sit and rot til tomorrow. Do it now. Stop procrastinating and accumulate all these 2 minute items so that it turns into an hour’s worth of work. It’s too overwhelming. Be quick and effective throughout the day.
7. Practice Mindfulness and Breaks
This is imperative if you want a good day. You don’t want to be overwhelmed and you don’t want to be caught up in a headache. Taking breaks and moments of calmness can help rejuvenate your mind. This enhances overall productivity. Take a walk, take a breath and take a sip of water – all these items can help promote mental clarity leaving you as productive as an apple.
8. Create a Distraction-Free Zone
What distracts you? Look around you. If there is something distracting, move it away from you. Is there a TV in your room – go to a different room. Is there too much mess on your desk?
